Bioring – filter ceramic is a filter material with a variety of properties.
Bioring is especially suitable for mechanical filtering. By means of the special form of the tubular cylinder in the quick-filter, the water passing through it is better circulated and the larger soil particles remain in the filter material (application 1). Using Bioring for biological filtering also has the advantage that its porous surface creates a subsistence habitat for nitrate-reducing bacteria in the slow action trickling filter (application 2).
